Job summary

Langham Hotels International Limited – Southbank VIC is seeking a Part-time Guest Service Agent to join the Front Office team at The Langham Hotel Melbourne in Melbourne, VIC. The role involves delivering exceptional guest service during check-in/out, inquiries, and a range of front desk functions.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in a five-star Front Office environment, with strong presentation, communication, and numeracy skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year previous experience within a 5 star Front Office environment.
• Excellent presentation, communication and people skills combined with a polite, efficient and friendly disposition.
• A high level of numeracy, literacy and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of guest service throughout every interaction with our guests (check in/out, enquiries, foreign currency exchange, night audit functions and telephone switchboard operation).
• Have complete knowledge of all room categories and rates.
• Provide information on all facilities provided within the hotel complex; operating hours, costs etc.
• Anticipate guest needs and handle guest enquiries in a helpful and attentive manner.
• Take hotel reservations as required outside the Reservations department operating hours.

This positionis an integral part of a high performing hotelteam, and a key contributor to the hotel’s ongoing success.

Your responsibilities will include:
