Job summary

The Langham Melbourne is looking for a Public Area Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. This role offers exposure to a Deluxe Five Star environment and involves maintaining cleanliness across function rooms, restaurant and front of house areas, and staff facilities.

You will work with a rotating 7-day roster with morning, afternoon and overnight shifts, up to 30 hours per week. Previous related experience, strong communication, and a team spirit are valued.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning of all function rooms, restaurant and front of house areas of hotel, guest toilets.
• Cleaning of all back of house areas including staff change rooms.
• Pick up function rooms between back to back functions at the direction of Shiftleaders.
• Spot clean spillages throughout the public areas of the hotel when required.

The Langham Hotel Melbourne is currently looking for a Public Area Attendant to join our team.

You will have the opportunity to work with the Housekeeping Department which consists of approximately 115 colleagues. This is an exciting opportunity for you to grow your hotel skill set in order to build a career with-in The Langham, shall you be determined and dedicated.

This position is an integral part of a high performing hotel team, and a key contributor to the hotel's ongoing success.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Cleaning of all function rooms, restaurant and front of house areas of hotel, guest toilets.
• Cleaning of all back of house areas including staff change rooms.
• Pick up function rooms between back to back functions at the direction of Shiftleaders.
• Spot clean spillage’s throughout the public areas of the hotel when required.

For this role, your attributes will be inclusive of the following:

• The candidate will be required to work across a seven day a week rotating roster.
• Candidates must be available to work a combination of morning 7.00am - 15.00pm, afternoon 15.00pm - 23.00pm and overnight shifts 23.00pm - 07.00am. There are three shifts covering a 24 hour operation.
• Whilst the role is part time we are seeking a professional who can work up to 30 hours per week.
• Experience in a similar role is an advantage

• Whilst the role is part time we are seeking a professional who can work up to 30 hours per week.
• Experience in a similar role is an advantage

• Customer Service Experience, previous role in Housekeeping or Bond Cleaning an advantage.
