Job summary

Hotel Woolstore 1888 is seeking a passionate Duty Manager to join our Front Office leadership team on a part-time basis in Sydney. You will be visible on the floor, guiding the team and helping to deliver personalised guest experiences for every stay.

As a key leader on shift, you will oversee Front Office activities, coach the team, manage guest interactions and support smooth hotel operations. This hands-on role requires hospitality expertise and strong communication, with rosters including

Qualifications

• 2–4 years’ experience in hotel operations, with leadership or supervisory experience.
• Passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.
• Confident communicating with guests and team members at all levels.
• Calm, adaptable and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Front Office operations and act as the key leader on shift.
• Coach and motivate the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Create genuine connections with guests and ensure memorable stays.
• Manage guest feedback and service recovery with confidence and care.
• Support reservations accuracy and assist with maximising hotel revenue opportunities.
• Coordinate with all hotel departments to ensure seamless daily operations.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture.
• Assist with rostering, planning and operational requirements.
• Be hands-on and flexible, supporting the wider hotel team when required.
