Job summary

Marriott International is seeking a warm, proactive Porter at Pier One Sydney Harbour to ensure seamless arrivals and memorable guest experiences. You will assist guests with luggage, manage valet parking, and support the Front Office team in delivering outstanding service in a vibrant hospitality environment.

The role requires strong communication, a customer-focused attitude, and physical fitness for manual handling.

Qualifications

• Experience in porter or guest services is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service are essential.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and assist with luggage and directions.
• Deliver and retrieve luggage to/from rooms with care.
• Store guest belongings securely and manage group arrivals.
• Assist with valet parking in compliance with road regulations.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming lobby and assist with upselling hotel services.
• Explain room features and promote hotel services to guests.
• Assist guests with facility queries and local attractions.
• Support front office operations and handovers.
• Assist guests with disabilities following accessibility guidelines.
• Monitor safety hazards and report issues promptly.
• Uphold grooming, conduct and safety standards.
