Job summary

Woods & Co Recruitment is partnering with a Melbourne-based hospitality group to appoint a Group General Manager who will oversee multiple venues and shape the group’s next chapter.

In this role you will embed operational structure, elevate culture, and ensure financial profitability across the business. You’ll mentor a high-calibre team while driving growth and refining systems for scalability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a multi-venue General Manager (4 sites minimum).
• Strong commercial acumen with budgets and P&Ls.
• Hands-on leader able to mentor a diverse team.
• Experience in operational strategy and scaling multi-site businesses.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Passionate about hospitality and guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations across multiple venues, ensuring service excellence, efficiency and profitability.
• Champion culture and mentor Area Managers and the wider teams.
• Oversee financial performance, budgets, P&Ls and cost optimisation.
• Refine systems and processes to improve efficiency, consistency and scalability.
• Support strategic initiatives including growth planning and new venue openings.
• Monitor guest experience and marketing outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead by example, setting high standards in professionalism, service and team accountability.
