Job summary

Sharp & Carter is partnering with a private equity-backed technology group seeking a high-calibre Group Financial Controller to lead accounting, tax, treasury and financial reporting across Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Reporting to the CFO, you will own group accounting, drive finance transformation, implement robust controls, and partner with the executive team to support growth, acquisitions and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience across accounting, finance and controllership roles.
• Proven ability to lead multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
• Strong reporting, compliance and technical accounting knowledge.
• Experience with audits, consolidations and financial controls.
• Exposure to private equity-backed organisations is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead group accounting, tax, treasury and reporting across Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
• Drive finance transformation, process improvement and systems optimisation.
• Oversee statutory reporting, audits, treasury management and tax obligations.
• Build and lead a high-performance finance team with clear accountability.
• Partner with senior executives on strategic initiatives and acquisition integration.
