Allura Partners seeks a Group Financial Controller in Sydney to own reporting, consolidation and control across the group as it scales. You will drive month-end close, statutory reporting and the annual audit, while delivering board and PE sponsor packs.

You will manage AASB 15 revenue recognition, capitalised development costs, and R&D tax incentive claims. A hands-on leader will guide budgeting, forecasting and cash flow, with a focus on scalable ERP and automation.

Qualificações

• 8+ years post-qualification experience in senior finance roles.
• Strong expertise in group reporting, consolidation and statutory processes.

Responsabilidades

• Run month-end close, group consolidation, statutory reporting and annual audit.
• Prepare monthly board and sponsor reporting packs.
• Oversee AASB 15 revenue recognition across multiple streams and capitalised development costs.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and cash flow forecasting; support due diligence and data rooms for funding or M&A.
• Track SaaS metrics: revenue growth, gross margin, customer retention.
• Strengthen control environment as volumes grow; lead ERP migration and automate reporting.
• Build and develop a small finance team.

Group Financial Controller | Sydney
Our client is a PE-backed SaaS company with a mix of recurring, transactional and project-based revenue. They need a technically strong Group Financial Controller to own reporting and control across the group and make sure the board and investors get numbers they can trust. There’s real scope to shape how finance runs as the business scales.

The role

• Run month-end close, group consolidation, statutory reporting and the annual audit
• Prepare monthly board and PE sponsor reporting packs
• Manage AASB 15 revenue recognition across multiple revenue streams, plus capitalised development costs and R&D Tax Incentive claims
• Own the budget, forecasts and cash flow forecasting and support due diligence and data rooms for funding or M&A activity
• Track and report on key SaaS metrics, including revenue growth, gross margin and customer retention
• Strengthen the control environment as headcount and transaction volumes grow
• Lead the move to a scalable ERP and automate reporting to cut manual work
• Build and develop a small finance team

About you

• CA or CPA qualified
• Big 4 trained
• 8+ years post-qualification, with experience leading a team
• SaaS experience in a start-up or scale-up, with a track record of building finance processes as the business grows
• Group reporting and consolidation experience in a PE or VC-backed business
• Solid technical knowledge of AASB 15, capitalised development costs and R&D Tax Incentive claims
• A finance system migration or upgrade under your belt
• Hands-on and pragmatic, comfortable rolling up your sleeves
