Sharp and Carter is seeking a Group Accountant to own statutory accounts and tax returns across Australia, New Zealand and the UK. The role includes ESG reporting and direct reporting to the Group Financial Controller.

You will consolidate the group, manage tax compliance, and work with auditors and advisers to ensure accurate year-ends while maintaining up-to-date accounting policies and governance.

Qualificações

• CA qualification with audit background from a Big 4 or mid-tier firm.
• Three to five years in financial accounting with strong statutory accounts preparation.
• Experience with ESG or sustainability reporting is desirable not essential.
• Working knowledge of consolidation accounting.
• Ability to prepare Australian tax returns independently.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare statutory accounts for Australian, New Zealand and UK entities and the group consolidation.
• Prepare and lodge Australian and New Zealand tax returns and FBT returns, coordinating with UK advisers.
• Support ESG and sustainability reporting, gathering data and disclosures.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax consultants through year-end.
• Keep accounting policies up to date as standards change.
• Prepare cash flow and balance sheet for budgets/forecasts and shareholder reporting.
