Job summary

SSI Group seeks an experienced Facilitator - Men's Behaviour Change to support the SHER program in Logan and surrounding areas. You will co-facilitate sessions, conduct intake, and document cases, working with partners to prioritise safety and accountability for violence.

You will engage with communities and maintain professional standards in a culturally responsive, non-judgmental approach. Role requires flexibility to work after hours and strong knowledge of DFSV interventions, with a focus on

Qualifications

• Minimum 32 hours observing intervention group work within first 6 months.
• Minimum 25 hours of specialist group perpetrator intervention training.
• Experience working with relevant services in a case coordination model.
• Knowledge of legislation such as the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act 2012, Information Sharing, the Child Protection Act 1999, and the Family Law Act 1975.
• Culturally responsive practice when working with migrant and refugee backgrounds.
• Willingness to work outside standard business hours, including one afternoon shift per week.
• Desirable: bilingual and/or bicultural background.

Responsibilities

• Review and triage referrals into the program.
• Conduct intake and assessment interviews to assess risk and suitability.
• Co-facilitate group sessions and individual sessions per the program manual.
• Contribute to risk assessment, participant engagement, and case documentation.
• Maintain up-to-date case notes, feedback and reflections per guidelines after each session.
• Collaborate with the Women's Safety Practitioner and partner services to prioritise victim-survivor safety.
