Job summary

Uniting Victoria and Tasmania—Epping VIC—seeks a Men's Behaviour Change Practitioner to deliver group-based family violence intervention for men identified as perpetrators and referred by Corrections Victoria, the Magistrates Court or community streams.

You may conduct intake assessments, individual sessions, and provide referrals while working with a dynamic team to manage risk and enhance safety for those affected by family violence.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or equivalent.
• Principal Facilitator in line with the Men's Behaviour Change Standards (Graduate Certificate in Client Assessment and Case Management) or willingness to obtain
• Experience working in Family Violence service system
• Prior experience in group facilitation
• Proven experience in Family Violence intervention and support service delivery
• Sound understanding of the Family Violence Protection Act 2008, Victorian government family violence service system reforms, the MARAM framework.

Responsibilities

• Deliver group-based family violence intervention for men identified as perpetrators.
• Conduct initial intake assessments and individual sessions where required.
• Provide referrals to consumers referred to the program.
• Collaborate with a dynamic team and other services to manage risk and improve safety.
