SSI Group is seeking a Facilitator for the SHER program in Logan, Queensland, to deliver group and individual sessions for men from migrant and refugee backgrounds. SHER is a culturally tailored, specialised domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) behaviour change intervention program for men from migrant and refugee backgrounds who are committed to addressing their use of violence. The program is based in Logan and supports men residing in Logan, Brisbane, Ipswich, Moreton Bay and the Gold Coast.
Facilitator – Men’s Behaviour Change is responsible for providing facilitation of group sessions and individual sessions as required with participants in the Safe, Healthy and Empowered Relationships (SHER) program. The role completes pre-group interviews, intake sessions, individual and group work, and other related activities in line with the program manual.

The Facilitator works closely with the Coordinator and the Women’s Safety Practitioner (co-located with 99 Steps – SSI’s specialist DFV service) to ensure that service delivery maintains a clear focus on accountability for the use of violence, prioritisation of women’s and children’s safety, has a gendered understanding of DFSV and is culturally responsive.
The Facilitator actively engages with local communities on a regular basis to ensure there is ongoing community awareness and support.

You bring confident group facilitation, risk assessment, and stakeholder and community engagement skills. Culturally responsive and collaborative, you are committed to holding people who use violence accountable while prioritising the safety of women and children.
