Job summary

Fresh Hope Communities is seeking a Groundskeeper in East Maitland, NSW, to maintain lawns, gardens, and outdoor spaces. You will operate ride-on mowers and related equipment, while supporting resident-led projects and ensuring safe practices across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in grounds or garden maintenance.
• Practical, can-do attitude with eye for detail.
• Willingness to obtain National Criminal History Check for aged care.
• Confident with using equipment and basic IT skills (email, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, gardens, car park and outdoor spaces to a high standard.
• Operate and care for equipment (ride-on mowers, whipper snippers, etc.).
• Support resident-led garden projects and make outdoor areas accessible.
• Work safely and help others do the same; follow Maintenance/Property Services guidance.

Groundskeeper

Help create welcoming spaces for residents and guests. At Fresh Hope Communities, we believe everyone deserves to feel at home. As our Groundskeeper, you'll make our gardens and outdoor areas safe, beautiful, and inviting so residents and their families can enjoy every moment outdoors.

• Permanent - Full Time, 38 hours per week position
• Located in East Maitland at our beautifully designed Green Hills Residential Care Home

Your Contribution

• Maintain lawns, gardens, car park and other outdoor spaces to a high standard
• Operate and care for equipment (ride-on mowers, whipper snippers, etc.)
• Support resident-led garden projects and help make outdoor areas accessible for all
• Work safely and help others do the same
• Respond to feedback and work with the Maintenance/Property Services team to keep everything running smoothly

The Essentials

• You care about people and take pride in your work. You'll bring:
• Experience in grounds or garden maintenance
• A practical, can-do attitude and an eye for detail
• Confidence using equipment and basic IT skills (email, excel and word)
• A valid driver's licence and willingness to work outdoors in a physically demanding role
• Friendly, helpful approach with residents, staff, and visitors
• Willingness to get (or already have) a National Criminal History Check for aged care
