Job summary

SEQ Properties is seeking a reliable Gardener / Grounds Person for BIG4 Caloundra to maintain the waterfront holiday park's outdoor spaces. The role covers mowing, pruning, planting and general garden care, with emphasis on presentation and guest experience.

You will work hands-on outdoors, using mowers, trimmers and related tools, ensuring lawns, beds and pathways look neat and inviting for guests and teams.

We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Gardener / Grounds Person to join the team at BIG4 Caloundra and help keep our waterfront holiday park looking its best.

This is a hands-on outdoor role covering everything from mowing and pruning to garden maintenance and general presentation of the park.

The Role

Your day-to-day will include:

Mowing, edging and whipper snipping

Pruning trees, shrubs and hedges

Weeding and maintaining garden beds

Planting, mulching and general garden care

Leaf blowing and keeping outdoor areas tidy

Maintaining lawns and landscaped areas

General grounds and outdoor presentation

Identifying areas that need attention and taking initiative to get them sorted

Assisting with other general grounds duties as required

About You

You’re the kind of person who sees something that needs fixing and gets it sorted.

You’ll ideally have:

Previous gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance experience

Confidence using mowers, whipper snippers, blowers and other garden equipment

Knowledge of basic plant and lawn care

Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors

A strong work ethic and ability to work independently

Great attention to detail and pride in presentation

A friendly attitude when interacting with guests and the wider team

Formal horticultural qualifications are great, but they’re not essential. We’re more interested in finding someone reliable who knows their way around a garden and takes genuine pride in making outdoor spaces look great.
