Palm Lake Resort Hervey Bay is seeking a committed Groundskeeper to maintain the resort grounds to a high standard. This part-time position requires at least 25 hours weekly, performing garden, lawn and outdoor area maintenance that keeps facilities safe, clean and visually appealing for residents and visitors year-round.

Ideal candidates will have a C class licence, gardening experience, and may hold Cert III Horticulture.

Qualificações

• C class driver’s licence required.
• Relevant gardening experience in a similar role.
• Qualification in Cert III Horticulture is advantageous.
• ACDC chemical licence is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Hedge & tree trimming.
• Mowing, edging & whipper snipping.
• Control weeds and pests with herbicides.
• Raking and blowing leaves, pruning and disposing of dying vegetation.
• Planting, mulching, and irrigation maintenance.
• Oversee outdoor presentation of facilities, including BBQ & pool maintenance.
• Ensure all equipment is kept in good working order.

Position Details

We're looking for a committed and enthusiastic Groundskeeper to join our Palm Lake Resort Hervey Bay team and help keep our resort grounds in pristine condition.

This is aPart time role, workinga minimum of 25 hours per weekin a hands-on capacity to maintain our gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas, ensuring they are safe, clean, and visually appealing. Your work will be essential to ensuring the resort grounds are presented to a high standard for our residents and visitors year-round.

Responsibilities

• Hedge & tree trimming
• Mowing, edging & whipper snipping
• Control weeds and pests through the application of herbicides;
• Raking and blowing leaves, pruning and disposing of dying vegetation;
• Planting, mulching, and maintaining flowers and shrubs, including watering and maintenance of irrigation systems;
• Oversee the outdoor presentation of all facilities, including BBQ & pool maintenance
• Ensure all mechanical equipment and tools are kept in good working order

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• A "C" class drivers licence;
• Relevant gardening experience in a similar role;
• Qualification in Cert III Horticulture or equivalent is advantageous;

• Ability to use equipment such as push mower, ride on mower, hedge trimmer, whipper snipper and blower
• Possess the physical ability to undertake the requirements of the role, including bending, lifting and carrying.
• Initiative & the ability to work with limited supervision.
