Job summary

Rushworth P-12 College seeks graduates to contribute to high-quality classroom teaching within the Victorian government school system. Graduates will plan and teach across year levels, monitor progress, and engage in ongoing professional learning within a supportive mentoring framework and school community collaboration.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the relevant curriculum with ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Capacity to use high impact teaching strategies and evaluate learning impact.
• Ability to monitor and assess student learning and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; collaborate with students, parents and staff.
• Behaviours and attitudes aligned with Department values and commitment to ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver teaching programs and courses of study.
• Teach an area of the curriculum to a year level.
• Monitor, evaluate and report student progress in key learning areas.
• Implement strategies to meet targets related to student learning outcomes.
• Maintain records of attendance and student progress.
• Work with a mentor on professional development and reflection.
• Support co-curricular activities and student welfare programs.
