Job summary

Rosebud Secondary College in Victoria is seeking Graduates for Range 1 classroom teaching. The role focuses on developing teaching skills with structured mentoring, delivering programs to diverse student groups, and aligning with school priorities and policies.

You will plan, teach, assess, and support student learning under guidance. New entrants receive targeted induction, with emphasis on explicit instruction, cognitive science concepts, and evidence-based practice to build strong foundations

Qualifications

Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum with capacity to teach literacy and numeracy.
Ability to implement high impact teaching strategies guided by how students learn and evaluate impact on learning growth.
Monitoring and assessment of student learning with use of data to inform teaching and provide feedback.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement teaching programs and courses of study.
Teach curriculum areas to a year level and monitor student progress.
Monitor, evaluate and report student progress in key learning areas.
Implement strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes.
Maintain records of class attendance and student progress.
Work with a mentor on professional development and create a professional portfolio.
Contribute to policy development and participate in school priorities.
