Job summary

SMEC, a leader in infrastructure, invites a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join the Rail & Metro team in North Sydney. You’ll contribute to design, analysis and documentation on major rail projects alongside experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Exposure to design tools such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D (12D or similar advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Support design development with drawings, models and technical documentation.
• Assist with engineering calculations and analysis across roads, drainage or structures.
• Participate in site visits and inspections to understand design implementation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate design inputs and project milestones.
