Job summary

Convil Group in Sydney is seeking a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to join our growing civil construction team. This full-time role offers hands-on experience alongside experienced PMs, PE's and Site Managers on a range of Sydney projects.

You will gain exposure to both site and office activities, with mentoring and opportunities to progress toward a Project Engineer role as you develop practical skills and industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Recently completed Bachelor of Civil Engineering.
• Willing to work on construction sites across Sydney.
• Genuine interest in building a career in civil construction.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily site operations and delivery of civil projects.
• Support coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and materials.
• Review drawings and specifications and assist with technical queries.
• Conduct site inspections and track construction progress.
• Prepare site reports, RFIs and project documentation.
• Assist with procurement, quantity take-offs and cost tracking.
• Maintain quality records and support safety and environmental compliance.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.

About the Role

You will gain experience across both site and office activities, helping our team plan, coordinate and deliver civil works. With guidance from experienced engineers and site leaders, you will:

About You

You have recently completed a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and are keen to build a career in civil construction.

You will also bring:

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Practical problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• A willingness to work on construction sites across Sydney.
• A current Australian Driver Licence.
• Full Australian working rights.

Previous civil construction experience through an internship, placement or graduate role will be valued, but is not essential. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, 12d, Bluebeam or Microsoft Project will also be highly regarded.
