Job summary

Pelican Waters Golf Club, part of the Palm Lake Group, is seeking a Casual/Part-time Golf Operations Assistant to support our operations from 6am to 6pm, across a flexible roster. The role involves customer service, tee-time coordination, POS transactions, and on-course operations.

Ideal candidates are customer-focused, detail-oriented and able to work varied hours including weekends and holidays. Key requirements include RSA certification, golf or hospitality experience, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer service role, preferably in a golf environment.
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
• Proficiency with POS systems (Swyftpos) or golf management software.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tee time reservations and enquiries via phone and email.
• Check in golfers and maintain high levels of guest service.
• Process POS and eftpos transactions for play, retail, equipment hire, and F&B.
• Monitor pace of play and assist on-course operations as needed.
• Assist with inventory and stock takes of golf equipment and supplies.
• Operate and coordinate golf cart fleet including maintenance and cleanliness.
• Support event and tournament setup and execution.
• Assist with food and beverage service, including serving alcohol.

Position Details

Our Golf Operations team is seeking either a Casual or Part Time Golf Operations Assistant to join our team, working across a roster between 6am to 6pm Monday to Sunday.

The Golf Operations Attendant provides assistance with various tasks, including customer service, administrative duties, course maintenance coordination, and event organisation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management of tee time reservations & enquiries via phone & email
• Assist with checking in golfers, maintaining a high level of attentive & professional guest service at all times
• Processing POS & eftpos transactions for play, retail sales, equipment hire and food & beverage sales
• Monitor pace of play and assist with on-course operations as needed.
• Assist with the inventory management & stock take of golf equipment and supplies.
• Operate & coordinate the golf cart fleet, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.
• Assist with event and tournament setup and execution.
• Provide the availability & ensure professional presentation of golf carts in the staging areas for use by the golfers;
• Assists with food and beverage services, including service of alcohol.

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate essential;
• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a golf environment
• Good computer literacy - experience with POS (Swyftpos) or golf management software
• A true dedication to delivering exceptional customer service
• A self-motivated, team player able to work autonomously when required
• Excellent time management skills, including punctuality & reliability
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
