Job summary

Pelican Waters Golf Club invites applications for a full-time Greenskeeper to maintain the course to premier standards. You will work on the 38-hour week, sharing a roster from Monday to Saturday, focusing on greens, fairways, tees, and roughs to deliver an exceptional golfing experience for residents and guests.

You will manage turf health, irrigation, and equipment maintenance while adhering to safety guidelines and Palm Lake Group policies. A proactive, team-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and proactive issue resolution.
• Physically capable of demanding outdoor tasks in varying weather.
• Flexible to start early, work weekends, and peak event periods.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, and trim greens, fairways, tees, and roughs.
• Fertilize, aerate, and top dress to support healthy growth.
• Monitor irrigation systems and ensure proper watering levels.
• Safely operate groundskeeping equipment (mowers, tractors, utility vehicles).
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on equipment.
• Monitor turf for pests, weeds, and disease.
• Apply herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides per regulations.
• Plant, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, and beds around the course.
• Mulch, weed, and maintain landscaped areas for aesthetics.
• Assist with daily course setup including markers, tees, and bunkers.
• Support tournaments and events to enhance player experience.

Position Details

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Greenskeeper to join our team at Pelican Waters Golf Club.

In this hands on role, you will help maintain the overall appearance, health, and playability of our golf course grounds, ensuring they meet the high expectations of our residents, members, and guests.

This is a Full time position working 38hours per week, on a shared roster between Monday to Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, and trim greens, fairways, tees, and roughs.

• Fertilise, aerate, and top dress turf to support healthy growth.

• Monitor and manage irrigation systems to ensure appropriate watering levels.

• Safely operate groundskeeping equipment including mowers, tractors, and utility vehicles.

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to support smooth and efficient operation.

• Monitor turf for signs of pests, weeds, and disease.

• Apply herbicides, pesticides, and fungicides in accordance with regulations and safety standards.

• Plant, prune, and maintain trees, shrubs, and garden beds throughout the course.

• Mulch, weed, and maintain aesthetic quality of landscaped areas.

• Assist with daily course setup including markers, tees, and bunkers.

• Support tournaments and special events to ensure an exceptional player experience.

• Follow all safety procedures and environmental regulations.
• Adhere to Palm Lake Group Workplace Health & Safety guidelines and all company policies
