Job summary

Repurpose It, a leader in the circular economy, is seeking an experienced General Manager Sustainability to lead its sustainability, climate and ESG strategy across the organisation.

Reporting to the General Counsel & Executive General Manager Corporate Affairs, the role embeds sustainability into corporate strategy, capital allocation, growth initiatives and enterprise risk management.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability or related field.
• Postgraduate qualifications in sustainability, climate, business or risk management are highly regarded.
• Proven enterprise-level sustainability, climate or ESG strategy leadership.
• Strong knowledge of ESG governance, climate risk and sustainability reporting.
• Experience working with Boards, financiers, regulators and senior stakeholders.
• Strong commercial, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead sustainability, climate and ESG initiatives across the business.
• Provide sustainability advice to Executive Leadership and the Board.
• Develop and implement the Sustainability and Climate Strategy.
• Integrate ESG across investments and growth initiatives.
• Manage ESG governance, reporting and compliance.
• Embed sustainability risks into business risk management.
• Drive a safe, compliant, and sustainable workplace culture.
