Job summary

Huntress is a remote-first cybersecurity company helping businesses of all sizes defend against cybercrime. The role is fully remote within Australia, reporting to the Senior Manager, Security Operations Center.

Compensation ranges from AUD 110,000 to AUD 140,000 with bonus and equity, plus benefits. The SOC Analyst will triage intrusions, analyze logs, and investigate threats, while supporting sales and product to evolve Huntress’ MDR service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in SOC/IR/Managed Detection and Response or Digital Forensics.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, or macOS including malware analysis and basic threat actor tools.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, PowerShell, Group Policy, and local account creation.

Responsibilities

• Triage, investigate, respond to, and remediate alerts from the Huntress platform.
• Review telemetry and artifacts to determine root causes and remediation steps.
• Perform malware analysis and contribute to detection capability improvements.
