Job summary

AlayaCare is seeking a Payroll Specialist to build a career in payroll with hands-on ADP experience. You will manage end-to-end Australian payroll across two entities, collaborate with a global finance team, and gain exposure to Canada and beyond.

You will work in a hybrid setup (2 days in Sydney CBD office), develop payroll skills, and help drive process improvements as the payroll function grows in a fast-paced SaaS company that serves care providers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on payroll experience in ADP.
• Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and curiosity about AI tools.
• Strong communication across borders and ability to explain complex payroll concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Process fortnightly Australian payroll end-to-end for two entities, including starters, terminations, leave, and deductions.
• Assist with PAYG, superannuation uploads, STP and workers' compensation compliance; support month-end & audit.
• Use AI tools to improve efficiency while maintaining privacy and security standards.
• Collaborate with People & Culture and Finance, handle employee payroll queries with a service mindset, and overlap with the global team.
• Grow the payroll function and participate in process improvements and potential system implementations.
