Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Migration & Implementation Consultant to spearhead data migrations into our Sentral School Management Platform.

You will combine Python and SQL expertise with customer-facing consulting to lead migrations from discovery through testing and go-live. You’ll build automated migration processes, address data quality, and support broader implementation activities across onboarding, configuration, UAT, training and post-go-live support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data migration, technical implementation or data engineering.
• Advanced Python scripting for automation of data migrations.
• Advanced SQL for profiling, transformation, reconciliation and data quality checks.
• Experience migrating data between SaaS platforms or enterprise systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical migration solutions.
• Strong customer consultation, communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data migrations from discovery to go-live.
• Design and optimise Python scripts and automation tools for migrations.
• Profile, map, transform, reconcile, and troubleshoot customer data with SQL.
• Partner with customers to understand source systems, rules and data quality.
• Identify and resolve data quality issues and migration risks with customers and teams.
• Own migration testing and quality assurance, including regression testing.
• Develop reusable migration frameworks, documentation and processes for scalability.
• Keep stakeholders informed of progress, risks and actions.
• Support broader implementation activities including UAT, training and go-live.
• Collaborate with Product, Development, Support and Implementation teams to deliver outcomes.
