Job summary

R.M.Williams is seeking a Commercial Operations Lead to shape and run the global Commercial function across Retail, Wholesale and international markets. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will drive operating standards, governance and scalable ways of working to support growth.

You will lead a small team, partner with senior leaders, and use data and technology to improve performance, efficiency and execution across channels. Domestic and international travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Commercial Operations, Retail Operations or Wholesale Operations in a multi-channel business.
• Strong understanding of Retail and Wholesale environments.
• Proven track record of improving operational performance and execution.
• Experience designing scalable processes, systems and ways of working.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leaders.
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Analytical, planning and problem-solving capabilities.
• Comfort using data to drive decisions and measure outcomes.
• Interest in leveraging technology and AI to improve efficiency.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead Commercial Operations across channels and connect Retail, Wholesale and international markets.
• Partner with the Chief Commercial Officer to deliver the Commercial operating agenda.
• Coordinate cross-functional activity and align priorities across the business.
• Provide visibility, governance and alignment on key initiatives.
• Establish operating standards and processes across markets.
• Ensure teams have tools and information to execute effectively.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve consistency and capability.
• Share best practices and raise execution standards regionally.
• Identify and address operational barriers and implement sustainable solutions.
• Balance trading priorities with longer-term improvements.
• Lead cross-functional problem solving and drive outcomes.
• Develop scalable processes, tools and ways of working to support growing global business.
• Clarify ownership and decision-making; reduce complexity; drive efficiency.
• Leverage data and AI to improve decisions and performance; partner with Digital & Technology.
• Lead and develop a small Commercial Operations team; foster accountability and collaboration.
