Job summary

Built Living, a joint venture between Built and Wesfarmers, is seeking a senior Commercial leader to own end-to-end commercial performance across development, manufacturing and design & construct delivery. You will set strategy, establish governance, and drive repeatable processes to enable national scale and risk control.

Qualifications

• 15+ years’ experience in commercial or contracts leadership within construction, property development, infrastructure or related project delivery.
• Advanced understanding of construction contracts, procurement models, contract administration, claims, variations and dispute resolution.
• Proven success negotiating major customer, supplier, subcontractor or strategic procurement agreements.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, with ability to translate complex issues into clear executive recommendations.
• Proven experience building, leading and developing high-performing commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute Built Living’s commercial strategy aligned with business objectives and risk appetite.
• Establish commercial delegations, approval pathways, controls and operating rhythms across the portfolio.
• Create repeatable commercial processes to support national scale while maintaining agility.
• Provide commercial leadership across Development and Manufacturing during the establishment phase and build the long‑term D&C commercial model.
• Lead end-to-end commercial outcomes for the D&C business from opportunity assessment through delivery and close-out.
• Build and lead a high-performing commercial function across estimating, procurement, contracts and project commercial management.
