Job summary

Vocus Group is seeking a commercially astute Business Development Manager – International Wholesale to identify new opportunities, grow revenue and strengthen our international footprint. You will report to the Head of Strategic Wholesale and drive growth across global markets from multiple domestic locations.

The role requires building partnerships with carriers and service providers, negotiating agreements, and leading strategic proposals.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in business development, sales or account management within telecommunications, carrier, wholesale or connectivity markets.
• Strong understanding of international voice, data, IP transit, subsea cable, capacity, cloud connectivity or related wholesale telecommunications services.
• Demonstrated success in winning new business and achieving revenue growth targets.
• Experience negotiating commercial agreements and managing complex stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to grow international wholesale revenue.
• Identify, engage and secure new international carrier, service provider and wholesale partners.
• Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from opportunity identification through to commercial negotiation and contract execution.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with global telecommunications operators, carriers and strategic partners.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Product, Network, Operations and Commercial teams to deliver customer solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities.
• Represent Vocus at industry events, conferences and customer engagements domestically and internationally.
• Prepare commercial proposals, pricing strategies and business cases that deliver value for both customers and Vocus.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management through CRM systems.
• Contribute to strategic planning activities that support long-term wholesale growth objectives.
