Job summary

Tetra Tech Coffey Pty is seeking a geotechnical engineer for Western Australia projects across mining, tailings, and infrastructure. You will participate in the full project lifecycle from site investigations to geotechnical analysis and reporting.

The role involves work on tailings facilities, mine site geotechnics, earthworks and slope stability, with opportunities to engage clients, manage aspects of projects, and grow your technical and consulting skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
At least 12 months experience with tailings storage facilities.
Understanding of soil and rock logging, in situ testing, and monitoring instruments.
Exposure to mine site geotechnics, earthworks, and slope stabilization.
Willingness to travel to mine sites and remote project locations.
Interest in developing management, business development, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

Involve full project lifecycle from site investigations to geotechnical analysis and reporting.
Work on tailings facilities, mine site geotechnics, earthworks, and slope stability.
Engage with clients and stakeholders; develop project management and technical delivery skills.
Combine fieldwork and office-based assessments with senior engineers across WA.
