Job summary

SLR Consulting Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Associate Tailings Engineer to join our Perth team. You will bring 8+ years in geotechnical and tailings engineering, with strong design, analysis and client engagement skills.

You will work on challenging tailings, mine waste and geotechnical projects across the full project lifecycle, collaborating with senior specialists and supporting junior engineers while advancing governance and client relationships.

Qualifications

Degree-qualified Civil, Geotechnical or Geological Engineer with tailings experience.
8+ years direct geotechnical and tailings engineering experience.
Experience leading geotechnical/tailings projects and client liaison.

Responsibilities

Manage geotechnical and tailings projects across the lifecycle from studies to closure.
Undertake stability, seepage, deformation, foundation and seismic assessments.
Design and assess Tailings Storage Facilities and mine waste facilities.
Interpret site investigations and monitoring data to develop design parameters.
Lead project delivery, client relationships and progress reporting.
Mentor junior engineers and support business development.
