Job summary

Klohn Crippen Berger is seeking Geotechnical Engineers at junior to intermediate level to join our Perth team. You will contribute to the design, investigation, and construction of large-scale mining projects, including tailings facilities and water management structures.

Working with senior engineers, you’ll perform field investigations, data collection, and analysis using PLAXIS, GeoStudio, and SLOPE/W, with training provided, and collaborate across Australia and internationally in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Geotechnical).
• Approximately 3–7 years’ experience in geotechnical or related roles.
• Developing understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and foundation engineering.
• Exposure to slope stability and seepage analysis, dam and embankment design, earthworks and fieldwork, site investigation and lab testing.
• Familiarity with ANCOLD, ICOLD, GISTM, and CDA or willingness to learn.
• Experience with geotechnical software PLAXIS, GeoStudio, SLOPE/W.

Responsibilities

• Assist with geotechnical field investigations and construction monitoring for mine waste management facilities.
• Support field programs including drilling, testing, sampling, and field mapping.
• Contribute to desktop assessments, collecting and interpreting geological data.
• Learn and apply geotechnical analysis and modelling tools; training will be provided.
• Assist with preparation of engineering deliverables (reports, drawings, specs).
• Collaborate with teams across Australia and internationally as needed.
