Job summary

Geosyntec Mining, based in Perth, seeks a Tailings/Geotechnical Engineer with 1–5+ years of consulting experience to support mine waste and tailings projects. You will contribute to dam design, geotechnical analyses, and field programs, collaborating with EoR on long-term projects.

You will work with geotechnical software and GIS/CAD tools, engaging with clients and internal teams to deliver safe, robust solutions for tailings facilities and mine sites in Australia.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Be eligible for Engineers Australia and CPENG status.

Responsibilities

Civil/Geotechnical/Tailings dam design.
Geotechnical analyses using various software packages.
Oversee and co-ordinate geotechnical field investigation programs
Oversee and co-ordinate geotechnical laboratory testing programs
Work closely with Engineers-of-Record (EoR) on long-term operational projects
Write technical reports, proposals, and papers
Develop geotechnical assessments and analysis capabilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
