Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking a Geotechnical Superintendent to lead the site geotechnical team at Thunderbox Operations. This role reports to the Technical Services Superintendent and supports safe, efficient mine operations with strong team development and succession planning.

The successful candidate will provide expert input to maximise ore recovery, drive improvements, and manage contractors. FIFO from Perth on a 4:3 roster is offered.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years experience in the mining industry.
• Proven leadership experience managing large technical teams, contractors and consultants.
• Proficient in geotechnical and mine design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead Geotechnical team to support safe, efficient operations.
• Provide quality technical input to maximise ore recovery and meet targets.
• Build team capability and monitor geotechnical performance and compliance.
• Investigate and resolve geotechnical issues across site.
• Contribute to mine design and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage contractors and consultants.
