Northern Star Resources invites a Geotechnical Superintendent to lead the underground geotechnical function at KCGM Operations in Kalgoorlie. This role guides ground control design, monitoring programs, and hazard management within a mechanised hard-rock mining environment, reporting to Technical Services Manager.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or equivalent.
• Postgraduate qualification or professional membership highly regarded.
• Experience leading underground geotechnical teams in mechanised hard-rock mining.

Responsibilities

• Lead the underground geotechnical function with governance and risk management.
• Oversee ground control designs, monitoring programs, and hazard management.
• Integrate geotechnical inputs with mine planning and operations.
• Coach and develop Geotechnical Engineers to standards.
