Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Mascot, New South Wales, is seeking a senior operations leader to drive EBITDA and operational performance across Australia. You will own the P&L, forecast revenue and costs, manage ancillary revenue, and lead Fleet Distribution, Maintenance and Damage activities with a high degree of autonomy.

You will lead a large operations team, set short- and long-term strategy, ensure health, safety, ESG standards, and partner with a global matrix organisation to align with Pacific

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a senior operations or fleet leadership role.
• Strong financial acumen with a track record of improving profitability.
• Experience leading multi-site teams in asset-intensive businesses.
• Experience in a US-headquartered multinational, with familiarity with performance metrics and reporting rhythms.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders and communicate with senior leaders.
• Strategic thinker with capability to set short- and long-term plans.

Responsibilities

• Own the P&L: forecast and manage revenue and cost budgets, track performance against plan, and close gaps.
• Grow ancillary revenue (upgrades, damage waiver and counter products) and commercial vehicle revenue.
• Manage and forecast the fleet to optimise revenue per unit, utilisation and customer service.
• Raise customer satisfaction using NPS, Google reviews and Booking.com as key measures.
• Lead, coach and engage a large operations team, and build a strong leadership pipeline and succession plan.
• Work across a global matrix organisation and contribute to commercial and fleet strategy.
• Make sure the business meets health, safety, environmental, compliance and ESG standards.
