Job description

General Manager | Manly | Make Your Next Move Count

An established hospitality group is seeking a General Manager to oversee a busy, multifaceted operation in Manly. With dining, drinks, entertainment and functions all contributing to the business, there’s plenty to get your teeth into—and plenty of opportunity to influence what comes next.

We’re looking for someone who can walk into a room and read it. Someone who notices when the team needs support, spots opportunities to improve trade and understands how the decisions made during service translate into the weekly results.

The Role
You’ll be the person connecting the whole operation: giving your managers clear direction, keeping departments working together and ensuring the guest experience stays consistent as trade builds.
Your focus will include:

  • Giving your management team the coaching, structure and confidence to run great shifts
  • Using financial results to identify opportunities and turn them into practical action
  • Keeping staffing, purchasing and stock management aligned with business needs
  • Building trade through functions, entertainment and fresh reasons for guests to visit
  • Working with chefs and beverage leaders to maintain quality and consistency
  • Keeping communication flowing between the venues and group support teams
  • Creating a workplace where expectations are clear and good people want to stay
  • Maintaining safe, compliant and well-organised operations
Who would suit this?

You might already be running a substantial venue, overseeing multiple outlets or looking for a broader challenge after proving yourself in a busy hospitality business.
You’ll need experience managing significant turnover, leading managers and taking responsibility for financial outcomes. A background combining food, beverage and events would be particularly relevant.
Just as valuable is how you lead. You’re approachable, decisive and comfortable having the conversations that help people improve. You enjoy a busy floor, take pride in the details and bring the same attention to a budget review as you do to a packed Saturday service.
An interest in beer and a strong understanding of beverage operations will serve you well, alongside sound knowledge of NSW licensing requirements.

What’s on offer?
  • A substantial leadership role across two venues
  • A sought-after Northern Beaches location
  • An established team and access to specialist group support
  • Room to contribute ideas and influence business performance
  • Career opportunities within a growing hospitality group
  • Staff discounts, wellbeing support and recognition benefits
