Job summary

The Alliance Hotel in Spring Hill, Brisbane, seeks a General Manager to lead day-to-day operations across restaurant, bar, and function spaces while driving growth and maintaining premium pub dining and service standards.

You will oversee front-of-house and kitchen collaboration, manage events, optimize labour and costs, and inspire and empower a customer-centric hospitality team to deliver strong financial performance.

As General Manager of this landmark historic, multi-level venue in Spring Hill, you will lead day-to-day operations while driving long-term business growth. The venue is known for its quality-driven bistro dining, a well-rounded offering of beers, wines & whisky with dedicated function spaces.

Key responsibilities

Lead day-to-day operations across restaurant, bistro, bar, and function spaces

Maintain the venue's reputation for exceptional premium pub dining, managing front-of-house staff, and collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service and consistent quality

Oversee corporate events, private dinners, and presentations across multiple unique spaces, coordinating with event planners and adjusting menus flexibly

Maximise profitability across a comprehensive beverage program featuring curated craft beers, cocktails, and wine lists

Manage inventory control, labour optimization, and drive revenue targets

Cultivate the warm, friendly, and efficient service culture that defines the guest experience

Recruit, train, and motivate a customer-centric hospitality team

Manage P&L, inventory, margins, and labour costs

About you

Proven Hospitality Management with strong experience managing high-volume venues with distinct restaurant, main bar, and function sections

Strong business skills with experience managing P&L, inventory, margins, and labour costs

Exceptional Communication with natural leadership style and ability to confidently lead a team

Ability to build strong relationships with corporate function clients and local patrons

Competitive salary package $85,000 - $90,000 + generous performance based bonuses
