Job summary

Private Advertiser seeks a General Manager / Residential Aged Care Facility Manager in Melbourne’s Northern suburbs. The role commands a leadership position with RN clinical qualifications and responsibility for a driven, multidisciplinary team in a 100% occupancy setting.

The incumbent will partner with clinical and management colleagues to steer organisational strategy, governance, safety, and quality. A strong financial acumen and familiarity with funding models are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience leading a multi-disciplinary team across the aged care sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Management/Commerce or relevant field.
• Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and integrate innovative and patient-centric strategies.
• Advanced business acumen with the ability to interpret financial and performance data.
• High level of knowledge and understanding of relevant legislative frameworks, standards and government funding models.

Responsibilities

• Leading and empowering the team to embed a culture of patient-centric care, teamwork, and community care.
• Develop and deliver the organisational strategy in partnership with the executive leadership team.
• Managing governance across company policies, systems and processes including organisational risk framework, mandatory reporting, assets, and workforce management.
• Develop a culture open to staff learning, development and knowledge sharing.
• Plan and deliver safety outcomes, ensuring safety for patients, staff and community.
• Identify and deliver continuous improvement programs to current services.
• Oversee collection and analysis of Residential Aged Care KPIs.
• Collaborate with Quality Management to enhance aged care quality systems and meet standards.
• Participate in strategic, business and budget planning and report progress.
