Job summary

AVC Operations Pty Limited – Australian Venue Co. is seeking an experienced Gaming Manager to lead the gaming operations at a Cairns venue in Queensland. You will drive revenue, manage compliance, and deliver outstanding guest experiences in close partnership with the Venue Manager.

The role encompasses leading the gaming team, maintaining a strong floor presence, coordinating audits, and implementing promotions while upholding RSA/RSG and responsible gambling standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Gaming Manager, Gaming Supervisor or senior gaming team member.
• Strong understanding of gaming performance and KPIs.
• Solid knowledge of Queensland gaming compliance and responsible gambling requirements.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a team.
• Excellent communication, organisation and customer-service skills.

• Leading daily gaming operations and maintaining a strong floor presence.
• Driving gaming revenue, performance and agreed KPIs.
• Reviewing results and identifying opportunities to improve performance.
• Supporting gaming promotions and customer engagement initiatives.

• Maintaining harm-minimisation and self-exclusion procedures.
• Managing operational audits, cash controls and reporting.
• Recruiting, training, coaching and developing gaming team members.

About the role

As Gaming Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation and performance of the gaming room at your venue.

About you

You'll ideally bring:

• Previous experience as a Gaming Manager, Gaming Supervisor or senior gaming team member
• Strong commercial understanding of gaming performance and KPIs
• Sound knowledge of Queensland gaming compliance and responsible gambling requirements
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a team
• Strong communication, organisation and customer-service skills
• A hands-on leadership style
• Flexibility to work peak trading periods, including evenings and weekends
• Current Queensland RSA and RSG certificates
• Current RMLV and Approved Manager approval, or willingness to obtain them
• A current Gaming Nominee licence, or eligibility and willingness to obtain it
• Customer Liaison Officer experience is desirable but not essential
