Job summary

Caulfield RSL Sub-Branch Inc is seeking a Gaming Attendant to join our hospitality team in Elsternwick. This casual position focuses on delivering excellent customer service while upholding gaming compliance and safety standards.

As a Gaming Attendant you will monitor machines, assist patrons, handle cash, and support the team during busy periods. A gaming licence or eligibility is preferred under Victorian regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of gaming machine operations and gaming compliance regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
• Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to casual work schedules.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and maintain confidentiality.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Current or willingness to obtain a gaming attendant licence or relevant gaming certification if required by Victorian regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor gaming machines and floor areas to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and RSL policies.
• Provide attentive customer service to gaming patrons, responding promptly to requests and enquiries.
• Assist patrons with gaming machine operation and explain house rules and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of machine activity and report any technical issues or irregularities to management.
• Conduct regular checks of gaming machines to ensure they are functioning correctly.
• Enforce responsible gaming practices and identify signs of problem gambling.
• Perform cash handling and reconciliation duties as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the gaming area.
• Report any suspicious activity, breaches of policy or safety concerns to management immediately.
• Support other team members to ensure seamless operations during busy periods.
