Qualifications

• Current Victorian Gaming Machine Venue Operator Licence, RSG and RSA.

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong numeracy with cash handling and record-keeping.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced venue.
• Clear communication and staff instruction abilities.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant gaming environment.
• Casual hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise gaming floor operations and monitor machines for regulatory compliance.
• Manage customer interactions and resolve gaming-related queries and complaints.
• Promote responsible gaming and assist customers showing signs of problem gambling.
• Conduct equipment checks and report technical issues.
• Process gaming transactions accurately and maintain records of activity.
• Train and support gaming staff on procedures and customer service standards.
• Monitor cash handling and security to prevent fraud.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the gaming area.

Goldfields Cycle Sports Inc is seeking a Gaming Supervisor to join our team in Bendigo, VIC. This is a ongoing casual position that offers flexibility whilst maintaining the high standards of service and compliance our venue demands. As Gaming Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring our gaming operations run smoothly, maintaining a safe and responsible gaming environment, and delivering exceptional customer service. This position is integral to the success of our hospitality and gaming operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise gaming floor operations and monitor gaming machines to ensure compliance with all gaming regulations and venue policies
• Manage customer interactions and resolve gaming-related queries and complaints professionally and efficiently
• Ensure responsible gaming practices are maintained and provide support to customers showing signs of problem gambling
• Conduct regular equipment checks and report any technical issues or maintenance requirements
• Process gaming transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of gaming activities
• Train and support gaming staff on procedures, responsible gaming practices and customer service standards
• Monitor cash handling and security protocols to prevent fraud and unauthorised activity
• Ensure the gaming area maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety at all times
• Report to management on gaming floor activities, incidents and performance metrics
• Knowledge of System One and open and closing procedures

What we’re looking for

• Current Victorian Gaming Machine Venue Operator Licence, RSG and RSA
• Proven experience working in a gaming or hospitality venue environment
• Strong knowledge of gaming regulations, responsible gambling initiatives and harm minimisation practices
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage difficult situations calmly and professionally
• Strong numeracy skills and accuracy with cash handling and record-keeping
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Clear communication skills and the ability to provide instruction and support to staff
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, secure and compliant gaming environment
• Flexibility to work casual hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
