Job summary

Sunnybank Rugby Union Club in Brisbane is seeking a motivated Gaming Attendant to join our team on a full-time basis. You will deliver friendly service within the gaming area, handle payouts and cash transactions, and help when required with food and beverage service.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a similar role, current RSA and RSG/RCG certificates, and a willingness to work weekends, nights and holidays. Join a not-for-profit club focused on members and guests.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Gaming Attendant experience in licensed clubs or hospitality.
• Current QLD RSA and RSG/RCG certificates.
• Knowledge of Customer Service Principles and Liquor Act/Food Act.
• Ability to interact confidently and deliver great service.
• Available to work weekends, nights and public holidays.
• Must be 18+ with RSA and RSG certifications.

Sunnybank Rugby Union Club Ltd, proudly known as The Sunny, is a not-for-profit community club with over 45,000 members, providing our members and guests with a true “home away from home.”

Facilities include 250 gaming machines, café, restaurant, bars, rugby union club and function rooms. We are looking for passionate, drivenand experienced Gaming Attendants to join our team on afull-time basis. This is a great chance for someone with previous club or hospitality experience to join a diverse team, committed to creating environments that value our members, guests and the contribution of every team member.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional and attentive service to members and guests within the gaming area
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests professionally and efficiently.
• Monitor gaming areas and assist patrons with general enquiries and requests
• Operate gaming machines and related systems in accordance with Club procedures
• Process payouts and handle cash and transactions accurately
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming gaming environment
• Promote a positive customer experience and build strong relationships with members and fellow team members
• Follow all Responsible Service of Alcohol, Responsible Service of Gambling, WHS and Club compliance requirements
• Assist with food and beverage service when required during busy periods
• Conduct promotions in the gaming room
• Previous club, gaming or hospitality experience is essential

About You

• Minimum 1 – 2 years’ experience in a Gaming Attendant role within a licensed club, hotel, restaurant or other hospitality establishment is essential.
• Current QLD RSA and RSG/RCG Certificate
• Knowledge of Customer Service Principles, Liquor Act, Food Act and Point of Sale systems
• Ability to interact with guests confidently and deliver great services
• Ability to anticipate customer needs and demonstrate initiative, problem-solving and professional approach
• Be organised with the ability to work calmly under pressure
• A passion for people, teamwork and providing exceptional guest service
• Availability to work weekends, nights and public holidays is essential
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and current Responsible Service of Gaming (RSG/RCG) certification.
