MAYDAY Recruitment Group is partnering with a respected funeral services organisation to recruit a Funeral Director's Assistant based in Glen Waverley. This permanent, on-site role offers exposure across funeral services, transfers, mortuary support and cremation operations, with an on-call roster and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist Funeral Directors with the preparation and delivery of funeral services.
• Support families, visitors and stakeholders with empathy and professionalism.
• Conduct transfers of deceased persons between hospitals, aged care facilities, private residences and other locations.
• Assist within the mortuary, including preparation, dressing, presentation and respectful care of deceased persons.
• Support cremation operations and related activities as required.
• Prepare vehicles, coffins, nameplates and service areas to a high standard.
• Assist with day-to-day funeral operations across the Glen Waverley site.
• Participate in an on-call roster to support after-hours transfers and operational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative and respectful team culture.

MAYDAY Recruitment is partnering with a respected organisation within the funeral services industry to recruit a Funeral Director's Assistant based in Glen Waverley.

This is a diverse and hands-on permanent, ongoing role offering exposure across all areas of funeral operations, including funeral services, transfers, mortuary support, and cremation operations.

The Role

Working closely with an experienced and supportive team, you will play an important role in ensuring funeral services are delivered with professionalism, care, and respect.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting Funeral Directors with the preparation and delivery of funeral services

About You

• Previous experience in funeral services, healthcare, aged care, critical care, or another fast-paced environment
