Job summary

Club Helensvale on the Gold Coast is seeking a part-time Function and Events Supervisor to oversee delivery of functions and events, ensuring an exceptional guest experience while operations scale to full-time as needed.

You will lead events staff, coordinate setup and breakdown, liaise with clients, manage food and beverage presentation, and uphold health, safety and licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar supervisory role within hospitality or events.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.

Job description

This is initially a part-time Function and Events Supervisor role, at Club Helensvale, with the view to increase to full-time, based on operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of functions and events at our prestigious club, ensuring an exceptional experience for all guests.

What you'll be doing

• Supervising and coordinating the work of the events and function staff to ensure efficient and high-quality service
• Overseeing the set-up and pack-down of function rooms and event spaces
• Liaising with customers to understand their requirements and ensure their needs are met
• Overseeing the preparation and presentation of food and beverages for functions and events
• Resolving any customer queries or complaints in a timely and professional manner
• Ensuring all health, safety and licensing regulations are adhered to

What we're looking for

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar supervisory role within the hospitality or events industry
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
• Solid understanding of event planning, budgeting and logistics
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant qualifications in hospitality, events management or a related field (desirable)
