Job summary

ALH Hotels is seeking a Function Supervisor for Brighton Beach Hotel. You will be the face of the floor, connecting with guests and ensuring every visit is memorable.

You will also be the main point of contact for event clients and a visible floor leader during functions, coordinating on-site logistics from setup to farewell. In this hands-on role, you’ll deliver top-notch service, manage multiple tasks seamlessly, and uphold quality across both events and daily dining.

Qualifications

• RSA certificate required.
• Experience with events/functions is advantageous.
• Ability to handle physical tasks and manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of the floor, engaging guests and ensuring a memorable visit.

We're searching high and low for a true 'people person' with a real passion for pub food and drinks. Sure, everyone serves food and drinks but you bring the magic and make it unforgettable!

A day in the life of a Function Supervisor:

• Be the face of the floor, connecting with guests and making sure every visit is a memorable one.
• Act as the main point-of-contact for event clients and the visible floor leader during functions. Your role is to personally connect with hosts and guests, manage on-site logistics, and guarantee a seamless, high-quality event experience from setup to farewell.
• Deliver top-notch customer service and make every interaction fun and memorable.
• You're the master multi-tasker who can flip the switch from running a high-stakes function one minute to managing busy bistro service the next. You'll ensure our quality and service standards don't drop, no matter how fast we pivot between the event floor and the daily grind!

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

You're a natural at making people feel welcome and have a knack for the little details.

You're a team player who is motivated to create magic for both guests and teammates.

You have a current RSA certificate and flexible availability.

Some gaming experience or willingness to learn would also be an asset.
