MANILA IN CANBERRA PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team in Canberra. This full-time role focuses on authentic Filipino cuisine and high-volume restaurant operations, delivering a premier dining experience.

You will cook and present Filipino and Asian-inspired dishes, maintain quality and consistency, manage stock and inventory, and ensure strict food safety and hygiene standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef to join our growing kitchen team at Manila in Canberra. This full-time position is ideal for a culinary professional with strong experience in authentic Filipino cuisine and commercial kitchen operations.

This role requires excellent cooking skills, attention to detail, strong food safety knowledge, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment while delivering an exceptional dining experience to our customers.

• -Prepare, cook and present high-quality Filipino and Asian-inspired dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards.
• -Demonstrate a strong understanding of traditional and contemporary Filipino cuisine, cooking techniques, ingredients and flavour profiles.
• -Develop and maintain authentic Filipino menu items while ensuring consistency, quality and customer satisfaction.
• -Assist in menu planning, recipe development and seasonal menu updates.
• -Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation standards across all dishes.
