MANILA IN CANBERRA PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team in Canberra. This full-time role focuses on authentic Filipino cuisine and high-volume restaurant operations, delivering a premier dining experience.

You will cook and present Filipino and Asian-inspired dishes, maintain quality and consistency, manage stock and inventory, and ensure strict food safety and hygiene standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in authentic Filipino cuisine and commercial kitchen operations.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality Filipino and Asian-inspired dishes.
• Demonstrate understanding of traditional and contemporary Filipino cuisine and techniques.
• Develop and maintain authentic Filipino menu items with consistency and quality.
• Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation across all dishes.
• Manage stock levels, food ordering and inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and workplace health and safety.
• Train, supervise and support kitchen staff in food preparation and kitchen procedures.
• Minimise food wastage and contribute to efficient kitchen operations.
