Manila in Canberra is seeking a reliable Full-Time Cook to join our growing kitchen team in Canberra. The successful candidate will assist in food preparation, cooking, stock control, and maintaining food safety standards while delivering high-quality Filipino cuisine and exceptional customer experiences.

Experience in a commercial kitchen and knowledge of Filipino dishes is highly regarded. Weekend/evening shifts and a strong work ethic are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cook or Kitchen Team Member.
• Knowledge of commercial kitchen operations.
• Experience with Filipino cuisine is highly regarded.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and presentation standards.
• Assist chefs in the preparation of authentic Filipino dishes and daily specials.
• Portion, prepare and store food ingredients.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Work effectively within a fast-paced kitchen environment.
