Job summary

Delmar Private Hospital in Dee Why, NSW, seeks a Full-Time Permanent Senior Physiotherapist/Exercise Physiologist to lead inpatient rehab and support the MDT. You will assess, devise evidence-based interventions and exercise prescriptions for diverse conditions, and contribute to rostering, staff training and quality projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or equivalent with registration (Physiotherapy).
• ESSA registration for Exercise Physiology holders.

Full-Time Permanent Physiotherapist/Exercise Physiologist (Level 3)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Full-Time Permanent motivated Senior Physiotherapist/Exercise Physiologist to join our dynamic, friendly and skilled multidisciplinary team.

The role will be based in our inpatient department with potential opportunity to work across with our outpatient Day only rehabilitation program. As the Senior therapist you will demonstrate strong leadership, communication and time management skills as the clinical lead of the inpatient team.

You will provide assessments and evidence-based intervention and exercise prescriptions for individuals of all abilities with an aim of delivering patient-centred and goal-orientated care.

You will assist the Allied Health Manager to achieve excellent patient results, successfully reaching department KPI's as well as assisting with duties such as rostering and interviewing/training of new staff and quality projects.

You will be involved in weekly MDT meetings and provide direction, supervision, and support to Junior Staff and Allied Health Assistants where necessary.

You will work in collaboration with families, carers and community health care service providers to facilitate safe and timely discharge planning.

You would need to demonstrate effective time management, with a high standard of written and verbal communication skills, and a strong willingness to work successfully as part of a team.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) or equivalent. Current Registration with AHPRA

OR

• Appropriate Bachelors or Masters Degree Exercise Physiology. Current Registration with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA)
• 5 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting and MDT framework with at least 2 supervisory experience
• Eligible Visa or Working Rights
• Current National Police Check
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously as well as within a team, exercising independent professional judgement and clinical reasoning
• Demonstrate high level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
