Delmar Private Hospital in Dee Why, Sydney, is seeking an experienced Senior Registered Nurse to join as Clinical Services Manager. This role blends clinical leadership, commercial focus and customer service to drive care quality and optimise bed occupancy.

Qualifications

Delmar Private Hospital (DPH) is located in Dee Why, Sydney & is part of Macquarie Health Corporation, one of the leading providers of private hospitals in Australia. Macquarie operates 12 private hospitals across NSW and VIC.

In late 2020, DPH completed a $25m development of a new 80 bed rehabilitation/medical & surgical wing, including a new underground car park, hydrotherapy pool and cafe. This investment has complemented DPH’s existing surgical and rehabilitation services and positions DPH as one of the leading private hospitals on the Northern Beaches.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Registered Nurse for the role of Clinical Services Manager at DPH. This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted role that combines clinical leadership, commercial skill and customer service.

AsClinical Services Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of exceptional standards of care to all rehabilitation inpatients and work very closely with both internal and external referral sources to maximise bed occupancy at DPH. This role is a Senior Management role in the hospital and a pivotal part of the clinical governance structure.

You will report to the Hospital Director and be a key member of DPH's leadership team.

KEY DUTIES:

• Delivering the highest standards of patient care with a focus on continuous training and improvement.
• Providing exceptional customer service to patients, referring Visiting Practitioners and hospitals.
• Proactively sourcing and growing patient referral streams to maximise bed occupancy.
• Ensure consistent excellence in clinical standards, including NSQHS compliance.
• Partner with the Executive and Senior Management to deliver strategic and operational improvements.
• Support nursing teams in evolving models of care and introducing innovative clinical pathways

To be the successful candidate, you must demonstrate anability to:

• Procure both external and internal patient referrals.
• Understand the rehabilitation process.
• Provide assistance and support to the clinical nurses to review the current models of care and clinical pathways for each service.
• Work within the multidisciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Social workers, Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, Dietitians and other Managers within the hospital.
• Maintain bed occupancy and daily staff labour hours in line with budget targets.
• Optimise the labour work force to ensure the most efficient and cost effective outcomes.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEPre-requisites:

• AHPRA Registered Nurse with at least 5 years postgraduate experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong people management including staff counselling and mentoring skills.
• Experience in building effective and efficient nursing teams.
• Be an Australian Citizenship or hold Permanent Residency.
• A practical, hands‑on leadership style with a record of delivering results.

Highly Desirable:

• Post graduate tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation.
• Management qualifications or currently studying towards a degree.
• At least 3 years management experience would be highly regarded.
• Strong understanding of private hospital operations and funding models
