Job summary

NSW Health at Northern Beaches Hospital is seeking a Physiotherapist to provide high-quality service across inpatient areas. This permanent full-time role involves a 7-day service and a weekend roster approximately every 4 weeks, serving diverse wards from orthopaedics to emergency.

Applicants must be registered with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia and have recent acute-hospital experience, with strong prioritisation and computer literacy.

Qualifications

• Qualifications recognised for registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
• Recent and relevant experience working in a similar role within an acute hospital.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) and demonstrated computer literacy skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• The Physiotherapy team at NBH provide a 7-day service to all inpatient areas, including aged care, intensive care, orthopaedics, surgical wards, neurosciences and neurosurgery, cardiothoracics, general medicine and the emergency department.
• This position will include participation in a weekend roster with one weekend shift worked approximately every 4 weeks.

What you'll be doing
This position is responsible for providing a high-quality physiotherapy service to NBH. The Physiotherapy team at NBH provide a 7-day service to all inpatient areas, these include but are not limited to: aged care, intensive care, orthopaedics, surgical wards, neurosciences and neurosurgery, cardiothoracics, general medicine and the emergency department.

This position will include participation in a weekend roster with one weekend shift worked approximately every 4 weeks.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

Qualifications recognised for registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.

• Recent and relevant experience working in a similar role within an acute hospital with demonstrated proficient skills, competency and knowledge in the provision of current physiotherapy practice across a range of inpatient (and outpatient) areas
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) and demonstrated computer literacy skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work individually and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
